Meet the Team

  • Ashley Liveoak-Executive Director

I’m Ashley Liveoak, I am the Executive Director of Care Net of Chilton County and Selah’s Oasis Maternity Home. I am married to my college sweetheart Kacey and have a daughter Oakleigh. I am a graduate of Pelham High School (2005) and the University of Montevallo (2011).

As a family we love visiting the springs in Florida—camping, kayaking, and exploring.

Throughout my life God has been ever present, faithful and good. Walking through trials and hardships has drawn me closer to the Lord and I have really come to know him and believe that his promises in his word are for me and for you! Before I came to Care Net, I had been laid off from my job and had no idea what I was going to do. The Lord placed me at Care Net almost immediately. I stand on God’s word that every life matters—no matter how that life was conceived it is precious and valuable in God’s eyes.

I am also the Executive Director of Choose Life Alabama (Choose Life Car Tags). Through this ministry Choose Life supports and provides education for pregnancy centers, adoption agencies and maternity homes in Alabama.

I consider myself honored to be a part of such an impactful ministry and I am humbled to get to serve families in Chilton County and Central Alabama.

My Favorite verse: With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine. Ephesians 3:20

  • Kennise Dawson- House Manager

I’m Kennise Dawson. I’m the House-mom sub for Selah’s Oasis. I am a graduate of Jemison High School (2018). I am a single mother of a wild little boy named Braxton who is 2 years old.

I came to Selah’s as a resident in a tough situation. The Lord brought me there so graciously. Through his promises, and faithfulness he placed me in an environment where I would go on to meet the people I needed desperately in my life. Through Selah’s I was able to get back on my feet, and get on my own. As always the Lord always puts his children where they need to be. Now I am back home with the family that adopted me as their own, and now I get to serve women in similar situations as my own.

My favorite bible verse is the sister verse to Joshua 1:9, Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand"

  • Leah Graham-Case Manager

I’m Leah Graham and am currently employed as the Case Manager at Selah’s Oasis maternity home in Chilton County.

I graduated June 3, 1989, with a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Sociology. Some of my varied experiences have included being employed as an Activity Director in a home for mentally handicapped adults, employment as an Activity Director in a nursing home, and more recently as a Social Service Caseworker for Chilton County Department of Human Resources. I’ve also had the distinct pleasure of almost a decade of volunteering for Crisis Pregnancy Centers.

I am a wife and mother of two adult children, the “Grammy” of the most adorable grandson (bias noted) and one grandchild on the way!

It has been a dream of mine for many years to work in a maternity home and I’m beyond excited to have this opportunity!

Favorite Bible Verse: Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you-this is the Lord’s declaration – plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

  • Tabitha Graves- Resident Assistant

My name is Tabitha Graves, and I am 25 years old. I’m the grateful mama of a spirited five-year-old daughter who fills my days with purpose, laughter, and a whole lot of fire. She has shaped me in ways I never expected, and she continually inspires me to grow, heal, and live with intention.

My life didn’t begin easily. I grew up surrounded by trauma and hardship, and for many years I carried the weight of those experiences without understanding my own worth. But everything changed when God stepped into my story. He turned my life completely around, healed wounds I thought would always hurt, and showed me that redemption is real. Today, I stand as living proof that no matter what you’ve walked through, you can rise, rebuild, and step into something better.

One verse that has carried me through countless seasons is “The Lord’s love endures forever.” That promise has anchored me in both calm and storm, reminding me that His love never gives up, never fades, and never stops pursuing us. It is the foundation of who I am and the hope I try to share with others.

In my role as Resident Assistant, I bring my heart for encouragement, compassion, and connection into everything I do. I am passionate about creating a safe, uplifting environment where women can feel supported, understood, and empowered. Whether I’m helping with daily needs, planning activities that build community, or simply listening when someone needs to talk, I strive to offer the same love, patience, and hope that once carried me.

Outside of my work, I enjoy the little things that brighten my days. My favorite color is blue—calming, steady, and full of depth. I also have a serious sweet tooth; if it’s dessert, I’m probably going to love it. Most of all, I’m grateful for the life God has given me, for the transformation He brought into my story, and for the opportunity to pour kindness and encouragement into the lives of others.
